I am actually not wondering. It's all of it and even more. So have this plentitude of full summer - enjoy.
I'm serving instantly - the platter is hot. Or is the summer?

Let's cool down. So this is my invitation:

So, let's put this way. This temple is mine, my will be done. I wanted to create a state of light blue bliss I can dive in head over whenever I feel the need to put a smile on my face filled with sun and summer vibes. One Green Tape (Frayed Musette Solid Ground Spin) | 01

A new beginning — something breaks open, and you notice it almost in passing. Perhaps it is spring. Perhaps the clouds part and give you a glimpse of a pale blue sky, and suddenly you think: summer isn't far away. This will be my time. This will be my summer.

It may have happened that way. It may have happened quite differently. It doesn't matter. Thoughts flutter through your mind like pollen through the air. And just between us — is it really a blue ribbon being glorified in that poem? Isn't it rather the budding life pushing up from the ground, bursting from the trees?

And perhaps the same is true of ourselves. Not everything has to be new for something new to begin. The clothes are worn out, but underneath, you're in better shape. A stitch here, a patch there. Why hide the stitches? They are part of it, after all. The new doesn't grow in place of what came before. It grows from it.

And almost in passing, you realize: you're listening to your favourite music. Mine has been on a green cassette since I was a child. It holds on to me through every re-recording. Perhaps it, too, has been patched up by now — in its own way. Still the same tape, yet always something new recorded onto it.

The sky is light. Summer is coming. We'll have some grapes.

Set your thoughts free.

Rewind Something | 02

Do you know the land where the lemon trees bloom? Have you bitten your way through a mountain of butter to get to the yeast? Before lying down to sleep in the Land of Cockaigne?

Enough with the metaphors — it’s an interlude.

I miss the sounds of searching for the right music. The noises, the time it takes, the anticipation building before it actually begins.

This could be it. No, not this one. That’s music of the future. No, I know this already — that’s from the day before yesterday.

Now. Now I’ve found the right soundtrack for the next few hours, the next few days, for my summer.

And now it begins.

**Enjoy.**

Wake Me Up (Nice'n Warm Glimpse) | 03

It’s the course of things that slowly sets you into place. Things take their course — and wake you up.

It was already last year when the first rays of sunlight came through my bedroom window, long before the alarm, tickled my nose and gave me this song.

Still half asleep, I wondered who was lying there beside me. The sun itself? My sunshine? Or was it simply one of its rays, cheekily dancing on the tip of my nose? Somewhere between sleep and waking, these lines came to me.

How long can it take for an entire album to come together? As long as it takes for all those threads to become a whole fabric, a warm blue blanket. You put the patchwork aside, neglect it, perhaps even give up on it — and then suddenly, a year later, it takes shape. And all at once, the album is finished.

What a wonderfully comforting feeling.

Thank you. Thank you for your relentlessness. You’re here again, and now it’s time to celebrate.

I missed you, my sunshine.

Come on. Pack your speedo.

So Fierce In Here (Coffee?) | 04

Am I really awake yet? Am I fully here? Is the night over — was that a dream?

We couldn’t have gone any higher. Were you up there dancing with me — no longer down on the dance floor, but way up there, right beneath the beams?

It must be real. It is real.

What a night.

And now you’re here.

Coffee?

You have to go?

Yeah, we really have to get going now.

Okay. One more round. Feet up.

Tea?

You can’t stay?

Doesn’t count.

Where are the keys?

You've Got The Keys | 05

Where are the *damn* keys? I had them just a second ago. We want to get going.

Are we really going to let this stop us?

Tunnel vision. Tunnel vision.

Take a deep breath.

Om.

You’ve got the keys.

You’re being cheeky. Teasing me.

Or was it me?

Some things just stick.

So let’s put the key in the lock.

**Up — Gate — Air.**
Ab geht er!

Destination Summer | 06

Do I have to say it? Do I have to put it into words? Does it really need another explanation?

I wasn’t sure.

Kidding — not really.

Every drive, every journey has a destination. I wanted one, too — but not a place. No beach, no palm trees, no wanderlust, no need to go farther away, let alone across the ocean.

I did want a destination in sight: the journey itself.

That way, you can stray from the path a little. Make discoveries. Find adventures as they appear along the way.

Just drift.

Into summer.

It is an explanation and it isn't.

Off into the here and now — that’s our sunny destination. A place where time melts and you can eat the light.

Destination Summer.

My Little Sun | 07

Sunny Boy — that sounds a little ordinary. And it doesn’t come close to telling the whole story.

So small, so tiny — and yet so strong, outshining everything, unstoppable and warm at the same time, always with me.

My little sun.

I carry you in my pocket.

Now you’re coming with me. There’s no more time to lose.

Into the fun.

Light and shadow are waiting for us. Because once time begins to melt, its brothers — light and shadow — start dancing across our skin and through our minds.

With you, with me.

They tickle us wherever we are.

Just like you.

In my pocket.

Cheesecake Drop | 08

I love this recipe — and I’m not talking about the cake. lol

That would be too easy. And yet, it really is that simple.

Let’s stick with the recipe.

Have you ever tried to create one yourself? For something you once saw and absolutely had to try — without any help, without an ingredient list, so to speak?

All you know is the end result. The finished thing. You know exactly how it is supposed to taste — let’s stick with the cake. What consistency it needs when you bite into it. Which flavour seduces your palate first. Which texture opens up the space for that very flavour you already know so well.

You know exactly what you want.

There just isn’t a recipe. – Eventually, you have everything together. All the ingredients, and a clear idea of what to do with them. Then you hold it in your hands and offer it to the world, so everyone can have a taste.

And then the track gets deleted. | The cake lands on the kitchen floor. | You weren’t paying attention and used salt instead of sugar.

Or — much worse — it is simply, utterly perfect. And on the way to a picnic by the lake, it just flies into the water.

Back to the recipe. The song was luckier.

All the ingredients came together. The lyrics wrote themselves within minutes. Everything fell into place. Every spice is there, every little refinement worked in.

Now it can do what it does. I won’t tell you that searching for the ingredients felt like it took half a lifetime.

A magician doesn’t reveal his tricks.

What was this about again? Tastes so good.

Bon appétit.

Meet In Dreams (Spectral Lights) | 09

The cake and me — not quite, and yet.

Let’s just direct our dreams.

Have fun.

Raspberry Red | 10

Who is August? Do we need to know?

He seems pretty cheeky — gobbled up all those lovely strawberries.

Makes you hungry straight away. That’s how easily temptation works.

A whole field of them.

Picking strawberries in a field isn’t particularly romantic. Not even at a pick-your-own field.

I’d rather snack on wild raspberries by the roadside and ruin my white T-shirt.

Thanks a lot.

Of course you’ve got raspberry ice cream, showing me how you can just bite into it.

Mean.

Those who tease each other must love each other — is that what you’re trying to tell me?

I’m not going to think about it.

Love seems Raspberry Red.

There was something about that.

3027

Oh, never mind.

Your lips are Raspberry Red.

My lips are Raspberry Red.

What now?

Ice cream or baiser amoureux?

Sunburn | 11

Luckily, we’re lying in the dappled shade beneath a linden tree.

How beautifully time shimmers.

Do you feel like a little lord, too?

Look at those buns turning in the heat.

Help. It’s hot.

It’s so hot.

Come on, put on some sunscreen. SPF 50 helps prevent sunburn.

Why are you drawing a Creamoji on my belly?

Go on — blow away the sand.

I want to at least imagine ...

... thinking stops.

Peppermintmind | 12

Something fresh now.

That gives “keeping a cool head” a whole new meaning.

I don’t want to think right now.

Is it past eight already?

Hot Platter (Fingerlicking Metaphoric) | 13

Why serve something hot cold?

Come Down With Me (Nightdrive) | 14

Is it evening already?

Was that a nightingale? A lark, you say? Sounded more like a magpie and a jay.
Good thing – someone’s keeping watch.

That reminds me of you.

If all of this is a ride, and Earth is just a seat on a swing carousel, nothing can throw us out of orbit. Believe me. When you’re travelling with me, I’m as strong as the Coriolis force.

You won’t even notice. Lie down and stretch out, my little sun.
Sweet thing. Darling?

Sanctuary.

Hands In The Water (Liquid Light) | 15

As gloriously light blue as the June sky, when the morning is still cool and the joy of a summer day dips your hands into cold water.

Then it feels like rays of light dancing in spectra across your wrist.

There is no proof of it.

I wish everyone could taste it.

We little sunny suns belong to everywhere.

Hour We (247 Singularities) | 16

ERROR. ERROR. ERROR.

Not at all.

Unsatisfactory. Sit down.

I suppose I should write it down somewhere after all. So I’ll do it here. Though it would have been so much nicer simply to write:

(to) hour we — the sum of time felt and spent together

To give the we, and the more that grows from the simple sum of you and you, an hour — and through it experience us as one, a new one.

A singularity emerging from vibrations in interference, where time no longer means anything and reaches beyond eternity.

Or just listen. I can understand that and support it. It’ll make sense.

Hour We

P.S. Unsatisfactory.

Language itself had no expression for my experience. But the word was already there. I merely put it to use.

Now, off we go.

Hour We

Floating (Pillow Talk Chatter) | 17

Up for a little pillow talk chatter?

Not with me — or perhaps precisely because of that. Let me put it this way. Let’s just apply it: let’s hour we.

Okay, okay. I can’t help myself. Here you go: Imagine your eyes beginning to talk to another pair of eyes. At first, you don’t even notice. Then your lenses start to tingle and you realise — wow. They’re talking to each other.
Completely independently of you.

Morse code?

Nothing of the sort. The waves the eyes use to speak — that’s music. It’s simply music.

It could practically have happened that way. A first glance. Love at first sight. That’s too simple and by no means enough for me. At second sight, at every sight, the eyes make music.
Even when you’re not really looking anymore, the eyes keep talking. They keep making music.

It's music that flows from four eyes into the room, whether you want it to or not.

Logical, isn’t it? Okay, I admit — it took me some time to phrase it that precisely. But here we go. It is as simple as that -

Consequence of Hour We.

Eat The Light | 18

There’s no medicine for that tickle under your nose. Fortunately. I could shoot straight up into the sky.

Keep going a little longer. I’ll tell you later just how much I like it.

Splish, Splash | 19

Yes, exactly that stupid. Hearing underwater while you’re back on land —

Well, just don’t go swimming then. No chance — ever.

I’d rather live with water in my ears and make a fool out of myself.
Did I just hear August? What is it with this August?

My ears are clogged. What am I saying — waterlogged.

Splish, Splash — ick hör dir trapsen.

Hop on one leg, get naked, and if you’re still standing upright in front of someone who isn’t laughing at you, then you know you’re right. And maybe you want to conclude, then you know you're where you belong. Do so - because that is what this is all about.

Splish, Splash

Two Moons (Speedoless Night) | 20

It is night. It is in the woods. It is a lake.

Can music walk? It does. Since when? Who set it free? What is freedom?

Dance naked with me through time.

It wasn’t always like this. Well, Berlin is far away. Far away. That was quite a march. Some are still marching. Right now. Again.

There are only two moons here — they’re happy.

At the Lake Hundermondesee in Talauenwalde.

Among them all, two moons shine.

Everybody's In Your Wake (Make My Day) | 21

Do you think I’m sexy?

Wasn’t it something like that? Or was it “do you know”? It doesn’t matter. It just crossed my mind.

I know exactly what sexy is. 1000 scream yes and you think no. And that’s right. And you stick to it.
I stick with you.

I stick with myself.

The Lovers | 22

Let’s play cards.

Do you even have any with you? Do you need cards to play cards?
Are you that bored?
Do I really have to rack my brain? It’s not reading. What's it called - rumble in the djungle?

Haha, go ahead, laugh at me. Rummy Boy, Romeo, call me what you want. I can do a bridge. And then I see right through you.
You can dance around the fire – all you want.

Whoosh — there it goes. The beautiful ...

That’s how fast it happens. All your card magic goes up in smoke.

But we don’t want to start a fire here now. Let’s just lie by the lake a little longer and toss a few grapes into our mouths. We’ll put out the fire later, right?

Gosh, I’m tired.

Feed me.

Nettle Me (Extended Tea Ceremony) | 23

What now? Have you had enough to drink? Are you thirsty? Don’t wait until next year — drink now. Water. Boy – water!

Thirst.

T?

Can you speak in proper sentences for once? Is it that bad? What do you want? Do you want iced tea? Or do you want your white T-shirt? You can have both. Just say it. Speak correctly. - Oh, you ...

Is it that bad? Haha. I didn’t spend a year at Cambridge. Bet you had a great time with August. I read and listened, and I developed my own voice. Let me ... be. Ok, have your be.

What, where?

Silly fool, or should I say August. But that's not you.
Stop it. Just stop it. You’re tickling me again. That’s my job!

Why are those two old ones up on the branch butting in?

Let them. I think we’ve taken their place.

Don’t you dare. Will you stop. Will you …

What's The Summer, Hey? | 24

Sighs.

You know what? I could lie here forever. Don’t let the day ever end. Promise me that?

You don’t have to answer. Just tell me, tell me instead, um ...

What's the summer?
Hey?

What's summer to you?
Come on, just say it.

...

Ok. Promised.

Kisses, my dear.

Have Some Grapes (Grape Summer Take Over) | 25

I had water.
We still have the grapes. I’m not eating them. Toooooo dangerous.
You take them.

We don’t need a Cat Sly here, sticking a Mentos into a Coke bottle and shooting straight up into the sky like Jetman.

(That's my thing, but I won't ever tell you.)

Rocket Man, have a grape.

Here’s to the men in their flying machines.

Open wide, open wide Rocket Man ...

Good boy.Laughing.

— to the lords of the grapes …

Coconut Licorice | 26

That was nice. Exactly what I needed. Feels like I’ve known you forever — you taste like licorice.

Shall we do it again?

Look what I've found —

The raspberry is yours.

Oh, we have to go.
Rewind.

Not yet.

Watch …

Watch The Sun (Watch Out) | 27

Watch out!

Watch the sun ...
